OUTREACH

Running outreach projects for people of all ages and backgrounds is an integrated part of Melis' practice, using hands-on art activities as a tool to generate conversations and awareness around social and ecological issues. 

A keen advocate for community engagement and democratising participation in the arts, she has worked in schools, communities, galleries and cultural institutions across Wales and England. See some of them mentioned below:

National Museum Cardiff, Lead Creative Schools Scheme ACW, Pontypridd Museum, RCT Arts Services, Literature Wales, Artes Mundi, Oriel Myrddin Gallery Carmarthen, Cambridge Curiosity and Imaginagion, Kettle’s Yard Gallery Cambridge, Wysing Arts Centre Cambridge, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology Cambridge, Zoology Museum Cambridge. Since 2012 she is visiting lecturer at the School of Medicine at Cardiff University (Science/Art Life Drawing Project)
